SIMS--Roger B., a retired TV producer and one of the first three African-American graduates of the United States Air Force Academy, died in his sleep on February 2 in his home in Everett, WA. He was 65. Born in Chicago and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Sims attended Howard University for three years before entering the Academy. He flew missions throughout the Far East including Viet Nam. From 1969 until illness forced him to retire in 1991 Mr. Sims worked for NBC and CBS. He was a producer on the Even ...
