ERICKSON--Rodney, 89. Died on May 22, 2006, at his home in Pound Ridge, NY. Born July 9, 1916, in Chicago. BA dramatic arts, University of Iowa, 1938. Began his career in radio in New York and went on to be VP in charge of television sales for Warner Bros. President of Filmways Production. VP and Manager of the TV department of Young & Rubicam before retiring to his gardens. He leaves his wife of 50 years Jean, a sister Dorothy Kennedy, five children and two grandchildren.
Willard C. Mackey Jr., 82, Ex-Chief of McCann Erickson, Dies
Willard Clyde Mackey Jr., a former chief executive of McCann Erickson Worldwide who helped build it into one of advertising's foremost powerhouses, died on April 16 in Vero Beach, Fla. He was 82 and lived in Vero Beach and New Canaan, Conn. The death was announced by Eugene H. Kummel, chairman emeritus of the company.
